The Lulla doll is the creation of the Icelandic company RoRo after many years of medical research and has been sold in over 80 countries around the world. It aims to help babies sleep longer, feel better and safer.
Lulla Doll by RoRo is a multi award-winning, science-backed sleep and comfort companion for preemies, newborns, babies, and toddlers. Developed in Iceland, Lulla imitates closeness to a caregiver at rest by playing the soothing sounds of a real heartbeat and breathing. Designed with scientific research and studies that show the positive effects of closeness and kangaroo care, Lulla aids in improving babies’ sleep, well being, and safety. The Lulla Doll family includes Lulla Sky, Lulla Coral and Lulla Lilac and adds versatility for babies of any gender or race. Each doll is made of machine washable soft fabric that can absorb the scent of the caregiver. Details of the doll, including face and heart, are embroidered. The base is weighted, giving the doll the added capability of sitting upright for additional comfort. The doll is activated by pressing the heart on the front of the doll. Lulla can be turned on and off or remain on for 12 hours in continuous play before turning off automatically. Lulla is powered by two AA alkaline batteries. There are 3 volume levels (low, medium, high) and volume can be adjusted via a button on the side of the sound unit. Initial volume is set at low. To increase volume, remove the sound unit and press the button on the side (note: the button in the middle of the sound unit turns Lulla on and off. The side button is the volume control). Suitable for newborn babies up to pre-schoolers, Lulla is equipped with attachment straps as having loose items in a crib with a baby under 12 months old is not recommended.
